Seculine ZIGVIEW-R
- the world's first TLL Motion Sensor shutter release, Interval & Exposure Timer, based on the original Zigview Digital Angle Finder.
The Zigview–R incorporates all of the features of the original
Zigview with its unique rotating angled TFT colour display, showing
the viewfinder image on the screen for low and high angle photography
and other situations where you would not normally be able to see through
the viewfinder or simply where it is more convenient providing a “Waist
Level Finder” style of approach.
Building on the success of the original model, Seculine have now released
this flagship model which has an electronic shutter release capability.
The new features built into the Zigview-R can be used in a variety of
situations to control the shutter; when motion is detected with its
9 area motion sensor, using the sophisticated interval timing facility,
using the Bulb exposure timer or simply as a remote cable release.

Motion Sensing - This groundbreaking new facility performs a shutter
release when small variations in the brightness level in 9 areas of
the LCD screen indicate that there is movement in the image.
Variable sensitivity - Each of these 9 areas can have independent sensitivities
set by the user or some areas can have their sensing turned off to allow
movement in these parts, or you can select to use the whole image as
one sensor area instead of the 9 separate areas.
Distance & Angle of measurement - The 9 area motion sensing capability
is not restricted by distance or angle of view since it is sensing movement
from the image projected through the lens of your camera. Therefore
you can use the most extreme wide angle or telephoto lenses. Whether
you are trying to capture an image of a train 5 miles away, a Bee 6
inches from your camera on a flower, or Deer crossing a park the Zigview-R
will still look for movement over the whole viewable area.
Camera Wake Up Time & AF Time - Since all SLR cameras are different
the Zigview-R can be programmed to allow a user set period of time for
the camera to “Wake up” if it has gone into sleep mode,
and to focus if in AF mode BEFORE the shutter is triggered. This delays
the shutter release time for a small period to allow your camera to
wake and focus, rather than firing a signal to the shutter at the instant
the motion is detected which could then be missed as the camera cannot
start quickly enough.
Timer Features - Start - Immediate - The motion Detection can be started
instantly.
Countdown -You can choose to start after a pre defined period of up
to 24 Hours in 1s increments.
Alarm - A start time and date can be programmed to any year, month &
day & time.
Timer Features – Stop - Endless – Zigview will continue
motion detection until the user stops the process.
Exposure Number – The unit will stop after a set number of exposures
(max 999,999)
Countdown – The unit will stop after a set time period in 1s increments
up to 100 days.
Date & Time – Sensing will stop after a specific time and
date up to 999 ahead.
Motion Detection Interval - The interval between motion detections can
be varied to longer periods in order to detect the motion of slow moving
subjects, or shorter periods to detect fast moving subjects.
Delay time - You can set a delay time after motion is detected to allow
for the mirror action of your camera, or to prevent the same subject
continuously triggering the shutter.
Exposures per Motion Detection - You can set the Zigview-R to capture
several exposures per motion trigger at minimum intervals of 0.5s apart.
Interval Timing - Interval timing can be performed with simple settings
using number of shots required and the interval between shots, or more
detaiuled settings can be specified as follows.
Timer Features - Start
Immediate - The Interval Timer can be started instantly.
Countdown -You can choose to start after a pre defined period of up
to 24 Hours in 1s increments.
Alarm - A start time and date can be programmed to any year, month &
day & time.
Interval Parameters - Exposure Number & Interval – The unit
will stop after a set number of exposures have been performed at the
specified interval.
No. Exposures & End Time – The unit will evenly space the
required number of shots programmed until the specified end time and
date.
No. Shots & Duration – The unit will evenly space the required
number of shots over the countdown duration specified.
Interval & End Time – The unit will continuously fire the
shutter at the specified interval until the end time & date is reached.
Camera Wake Up Time & AF Time - Since all SLR cameras are different
the Zigview-R can be programmed to allow a user set period of time for
the camera to “Wake up” if it has gone into sleep mode,
and to focus if in AF mode BEFORE the shutter is triggered. This allows
the Zigview-R to account for the wake up and focus periods before the
specified interval time is reached, ensuring the shutter is activated
properly.
Exposures per Interval - You can set the Zigview-R to capture several
exposures per Interval time at minimum intervals of 0.5s apart. For
instance you could set the timer to take 5 images 1 second apart after
an interval of 8 minutes.
Bulb Interval Exposure - With your camera set on “Bulb” you can set the Zigview-R to expose the subject for a specified bulb
duration within the interval timing facility. ie. you could set the
unit to make a 90 second exposure every interval of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
